To apply for a Turkish visa, you will need to first gather the following documentation: your passport photo, your passport valid for at least six months from the date of your planned trip, your ticket confirmation and your airline ticket.
Once you have gathered all of the required documents, you will need to fill out an application form and submit it along with the required documents to the nearest Turkish embassy or consulate.
Please note that applications can take up to three weeks to be processed, so make sure to allow enough time before your trip. If all goes well and you are granted a visa, be sure to bring your Turkish visa card with you when traveling in order to register with the local police department.

South Africa is one of the countries that enjoy visa-free travel to Turkey. South Africans can apply for a visa online at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or at Turkish embassies and consulates outside SA.

Common Visa Requirements
If you are a citizen of South Africa, and you want to visit Turkey, you will need to obtain a visa. There are several ways that you can apply for a Turkish visa. The easiest way is to apply online. You can find the application form on the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
Another way to apply for a Turkish visa is through your local Turkish consulate or embassy. You can find the address and telephone number of your local Turkish consulate or embassy on the Internet. Also, some travel agents offer special services that allow you to apply for a Turkish visa in advance.
